JOIN: Information Sessions on Welfare Benefits
The Grapevine team will be running a series of information sessions that will be available to disabled people and partner organisations.
We are offering three sessions on various aspects of welfare benefits; These sessions will cover carers’ benefits, an overview of basic benefits for those new to the system, and more information about the devolved disability benefits which Social Security Scotland offers, including child disability payment. All information sessions will be delivered online with time for questions.
Carers Benefits
When: Thursday 20th January from 11am-12 noon
This session will cover all the different types of benefits available to carers, changes to carers benefits and where you can go for more support.

Basic Welfare Benefits
When: Friday 28th January 11am – 12 noon
This session will give people more information about who can apply for basic benefits, what they are for, and how to apply. This will include information about what Grapevine can and can’t offer support with.

Social Security Scotland Devolved Disability Benefits
When: Thursday 3rd February 10-11am
This session will cover the 3 main disability benefits which will be changing and administered by Social Security Scotland within the next 3 years. It will explain how the new benefits will be different, the timeline for the changes and how to apply.
