This workshop provides our most up to date understanding of autism and includes examples of how autism affects different people in different ways. It provides a method to think about how autism affects children and opportunities to consider this.
Our understanding autism course is an interactive workshop where you will be introduced to the topic of autism. Through real life examples, we explore some key areas of difficulty for a person with autism, and how this knowledge can be used to support people with autism on a day-to-day basis. This course is suited for people who wish to gain an understanding of autism or adapt their work practice to support people with autism. All participants receive a detailed handout.
